MendenFreiman Welcomes New Partner Christopher A. Steele To The Firm
MendenFreiman LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher A. Steele has joined the firm as a partner in its estate planning, tax, estate administration, and business law practice areas. He serves as a trusted advisor to individuals, families, and business owners. He takes pride in building strong relationships with financial advisors, accounting firms, and family offices to ensure that clients receive a comprehensive approach to their planning.
While income, gift, and estate tax planning are a large part of his practice, Christopher advises clients concerning both the tax and non-tax considerations of their planning. His clients generally include families, high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and their closely held businesses and estates.
Christopher regularly consults, writes, and speaks on changes to the Internal Revenue Code and court decisions, including business valuations, captive insurance companies, retirement planning, Qualified Opportunity Zones, state-level tax credits, Section 1031 exchanges, and more. He frequently works on income tax, transfer tax, and succession planning involving the use of asset protection trusts, including defective grantor trusts and defective beneficiary trusts.
Prior to joining MendenFreiman, Christopher was a shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Atlanta office.
Christopher received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University, his law degree from Mercer University School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. He is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia and has been admitted to the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Estate Planning Council.
“We are pleased to continue to attract accomplished professionals — and as importantly — quality people to our law firm, enabling us to expand our capabilities and enhance the best-in-class legal services our clients expect from us and we demand of ourselves,” said Lawrence (Larry) Freiman, Co-Managing Partner.
Added Co-Managing Partner, Lance Einstein, “By adding experienced lateral partners like Christopher, our firm continues to enhance its client service and thereby reinforces long-term client relationships. We are pleased to welcome him to our team.”
